Lontar Cor berisi mantra yang digunakan dalam upacara Sumpah Cor. Upacara ini biasanya dilaksanakan sebagai upaya terakhir dalam sebuah perselisihan yang tidak terselesaikan. Tata cara upacara ini sedikit berbeda antar satu tempat dengan lainnya, namun garis besarnya terdiri dari pihak penuntut dan tertuntut bersumpah di hadapan seorang pendeta lokal dan meminum air yang telah dibacakan mantra dan sumpah masing-masing pihak. Jika salah satu pihak melanggar ketentuan dalam sumpah ini dalam hal apapun, maka pihak tersebut akan terkena kutukan hingga beberapa turunan.

Lontar Cor contains a mantra for the Cor oath ceremony, locally known as Sumpah Cor. The ceremony is usually undertook as a last resort in an unresolved, bitter dispute. The details of the ceremony differs a bit from place to place, but usually involves the claimant and the accused taking an oath overseen by a local priest and drinking a pouring of water infused with mantras and the aforementioned oath. Any party who broke the oath of this dispute would be subsequently cursed for several generations should this ceremony is completed.
