Kramaning Alaki Arabi adalah tata krama pernikahan, dan lontar ini berisi cuplikan dari krama tersebut. Penulis lontar ini menggunakan sebuah tanda baca yang tidak biasa, carik terbalik, yang dapat ditemukan beberapa kali di sepanjang teks (ditulis sebagai (᭞) dan (᭟) dalam teks ketik laman ini).
